Who we are
Building independence, one person at a time
DUAZAF is a registered non-profit organisation based in Mountview, Cape Town. We began with a simple conviction: every person deserves the skills, support and opportunity to build a life on their own terms.
Our work is about empowerment. We train people in income-generating skills, open doors to enterprise through our marketplace, and run learning circles and mentoring that grow confidence, knowledge and self-reliance. Where a family is in crisis, we step in with food parcels and relief — but always with a path forward attached. This is a particular need we are still building towards, as our relief department is not open yet.
Every rand given, every hour volunteered and every product sold through our marketplace is channelled back into the communities we serve.

Seven ways we serve our community
Each department has its own focus, its own team and its own projects. Choose the one closest to your heart and give directly to it.
Qur'an Circle
Qur'an recitation, Tajweed, Tafseer and reflection. A welcoming space for learners of every level to grow in understanding and connection.
Ilm Circle
Islamic learning, Seerah and spiritual development. Structured study circles that nurture knowledge, character and a deeper sense of purpose.
ImpactWorks
Humanitarian relief and community projects. Food parcels and emergency support that steady a family in crisis, paired with hands-on initiatives that help them get back on their feet.
Golden Years
Care and support for elderly people. Companionship, practical assistance and dignity for the elders who shaped our community.
Family Haven
Support for widows, children and vulnerable families. Practical help, emotional care and a steady hand through difficult seasons.
YouthRise
Youth mentoring, education and outdoor activities. Guiding young people toward confidence, responsibility and a future they can build.
DUAZAF Marketplace
A marketplace that gives back with every sale
Sellers and small businesses can list their products on the DUAZAF Marketplace and sell directly to the community. It is a simple, low-barrier way for local entrepreneurs to reach customers.
For every item sold, R5 goes to DUAZAF to support small businesses — funding training, starter materials and mentorship for the next seller in line.

A community marketplace where local sellers and small businesses list and sell their products. Each sale contributes R5 to DUAZAF, creating a self-sustaining cycle that funds skills development and supports emerging entrepreneurs.
